The observatory runs on volunteers. Therefore, we are always looking for people who enjoy making a significant contribution to our beautiful observatory. The specific tasks depend on what you enjoy doing and your knowledge of astronomy. We have volunteers who operate our telescopes, enthusiastically welcome visitors and answer their questions, give short presentations, and enjoy making coffee.
Once you become a volunteer, you will be scheduled approximately once a month during our public opening hours, which are typically on a Friday evening or Saturday afternoon. You can also participate in additional events, such as the National Astronomy Days and special occasions like fairs.
