Afternoons

On the first Saturday afternoon of the month, we are also open from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. In the month May we're open every Saturday.

In case of good weather our dome will open and you will be able to look at the sun up close. If the weather is bad there is a short presentation about the sun.

Observing the sun

Looking at the sun cannot be done directly with your naked eyes! At our observatory, you can safely observe the sun using special telescopes with strong filters. This allows you to view sunspots and solar flares
